The sales assistant is part of Garson & Shaw's international sales team and is responsible for transport and documentation. Garson & Shaw ships containers and trucks with used clothing to our customers world wide.
<br>

The position is open in our Atlanta office, where we currently are 14 people.
<br>

Work detail:
<br>
• Professional handling of purchase orders, container bookings, packing lists, bill of lading, pre-shipment inspection etc. or in short: everything necessary to service our customers.
<br>
• Get optimal prices and service by getting multiple quotes for truck and container shipments.
<br>
• Negotiate competitive rates with shipping companies.
<br>
• Follow-up and resolve issues in connection with all deliveries
<br>
• Answer phones
<br>
• Prepare reports about sales and deliveries
<br>
• Complete other tasks and projects as assigned
<br>
<br>
Requirements/Skills
<br>
• A good understanding of Garson & Shaw’s objectives and concept
<br>
• Must have own drive and initiative
<br>
• Some experience in transport from either truck transport or container shipping is a plus
<br>
• Some experience in customer service is a plus
<br>
• Must have interest and understanding for different countries and cultures
<br>
• Computer and internet skills
<br>
• Bilingual English + Spanish
<br>
<br>
This is a full time position, 40 hrs per week.
<br>
Garson & Shaw offers health insurance to full time employees after 90 days of employment.
