If you are a company that is worth working for, you would be looking for interns the correct way, thru schools and technical training programs. So to expect someone to use their expensive equipment to help fill your pocket with money with and remuneration for themselves is ridiculous. We have a reasonably busy season coming up and are looking to bring on one person as an intern, or an assistant. We handle our own shots for the most part, but in the beginning, it would mostly be grunt work, setting up jibs, balancing steadicams, setting up cameras and lighting.
