While we hire both male and female advocates, we are required to use MALES with male clients and at this time we need MALE applicants. YAP's mission is to keep at-risk youth out of institutions and maximize the odds that they will have healthy and productive futures using the support of their family and community members. YAP currently operates 125 programs serving 75 counties across 12 states and has an 85% success rate with clients. The primary responsibilities of an Advocate are to implement and assist in the planning and developing of direct advocacy services to clients and their families with the support of the Director and Staff. This includes but is not limited to assisting with tutoring; ensuring school attendance; developing job skills; connecting families to community resources; broadening the horizons of youth by exposing them to the cultural and educational resources within their communities.
