I'm pretty flexible, but sometimes I just need to be home. It's $80 a night with a two night min. I come off of that some for longer stays. We are a gay couple in East Austin, 1.5 miles from the downtown convention center, and we are renting out a private bedroom and bathroom for the duration of the SXSW Festival. Within easy biking distance of downtown, our house is 1.5 miles from the Convention Center, same distance to the middle of 6th St and Austin's bar area. . Probably less than $5 by cab. <br> <br> We will be at home going about our daily lives (working during the day, cooking in the evening, watching some TV), plus seeing a few shows during the music portion of SXSW. We have animals, too (2 cats and 3 dogs), but the animals aren't allowed in the guest room and most are elderly so they tend to just lay around and sleep Room is smallish, bathroom is full (tub/shower). You are welcome to keep food in the refrigerator, have overnight guests, etc. All we ask is that you keep in mind that we are still working a normal schedule, which includes going to work early, and be considerate of our sleeping schedule, we will be happy to do our best to be considerate of your needs as well. House is relaxed and comfortable, not super upscale, but nice. We can provide linens and towels and pillows (the same pillows that have been used by previous guests in our home).
