Tyson is 2 1/2 yr, orange and white tabby, double pawed, 16lbs, very mellow, sweet boy. Cooper is 2 yr, beige and white, short hair domestic, 9 lbs, sweet boy. I only need you to home, care for, and love my boys until I can take them back. I will supply you with all their food and litter needs. I'm a licensed hairstylist, and would like to offer you complimentary hair services while my boys are in your care. If you intend to adopt, please make sure to bring a cat carrier. If you own, you must bring proof of ownership (tax, water or mortgage bill) and if you rent you must provide landlord permission (lease, letter). We will have many cats and kittens available for adoption including: Apple I'm a sweet little gray and white boy who is about 16 weeks old. I tend to like to do my own thing during the day, but in the evening and early in the morning, I love to climb under the covers with you in bed to snuggle. I love tummy rubs! I also love to play "bed monster" and pounce on your hands and feet if you move them under the covers. I have a nice loud purr and love to sleep next to my foster mom at night. I'm also very playful and curious. I get along with most other cats, but in general, I prefer other friendly, mellow male kitties who will cuddle and play with me. I'm not very fond of my foster mom's dogs, but since I like to keep an eye on her, I've learned that I can go into the dog area and growl a lot to keep the dogs back. Miley I'm a gorgeous little gray Russian Blue mix girl who is about 6 months old. Sadly, someone left my on the doorstep of a Kitty Connection volunteer, so my past is a bit of a mystery. I'm a very sweet little girl and I really love being petted. I seem to get along with other cats ok though I'm not sure how I feel about dogs yet. I just need someone to take me home and give me a chance to get settled and realize I finally have a forever home so I can fully open up and let my personality blossom. Sunnibrook I'm very sweet, friendly, outgoing, playful and affectionate. I really love being petted. I'm a little nervous about my foster mom's other cats, but am slowly getting used to them (I tend to hide from the other cats and pop out when you come by to ask for some attention). You are sure to fall in love with a little sweetie like me. Lady Di I'm a dainty little black girl who is about 10 months old. I was found wandering around outside and am very happy to be safely inside. I'm friendly, outgoing, playful and love being petted while snuggled up in your lap. I get along with other cats though I'd prefer to be an only, and I don't mind dogs. If you want a young, beautiful, exotic looking, very petite girl to love, I'm your girl! Joseph I’m a 1-year old neutered male orange tabby. I was living on the street with a few of my pals. Kitty Connection came to rescue me and now I am temporarily staying with Frank with a nice couple from Malden. I get along great with Frank. I love to lie next to you so I can show how I feel. I fed them, cleaned them, and gave them a pet bed to sleep in. I'd love to keep them because they are the cutest things in the world! But for one my dog is not good with cats, and even if he was, I'm extremely allergic. So, I'd like to to find them nice homes. Two are black, one is gray, and one is a black and grey tiger. I fed them real food, so they appear to be weaned. Judging by their size, they look to be around two months or so. Just to make sure they go to good homes, I'm charging a ten dollar fee. I posted a week or so ago and said I wasnt picky about breed or sex but did rethink that a bit. I am thinking it would be best to have a small/med size dog as mine is small (about 15 pounds) and a large dog may hurt him accidentaly. Also my pup goes with me everywhere and a 50 pound dog would be a big harder to cart around everywhere lol. I dont mind if the dog is mixed breed m or f but dont really think a very old dog would be best as my pup is young and likes to play all the time. I also have a 7 year old so I need a dog who's good with children. I live in Derry and have about 10 acres "much of which has invisable fencing". <![CDATA[Free wonderful grey russian blue to a GOOD home! He's a loving cat, fun to watch and will sit by your feet! He gets along with other cats (is the less domineering one) and loves children. My husband and I moved home with my mom and unfortunately she is Very allergic to cats we now see, and its very uncomfortable for her. Belle is a neutered male, very playful, runs and plays daily! he is well mannered, does NOT scratch furniture or go up on counters or tables.. he was trained with a change can at kitten stage :o) Because he does need to be on a perscription food, I have to tell you so you know why. He did have a urinary blockage months ago (quite common for male cats I hear) and since is on c/d perscription food without any problems..which is just a little bit more expensive than normal food (Its a science diet brand perscription food for cats) (but he doesn't eat as much of it either) I give him dry morning and nite and a very small amount of soft food in the evening around 5 pm.. but i'm sure he doesn't have to have soft food. the very large bag 10 lbs is 34.00 /bag and last him about 2 months which you get at Petsmart with the Card I will give you... so just a little more than say a good pet food store food. He aslo now gets water that goes through my britta water purifier which is better also for cats. He's neutered 6 years old indoor only, and declawed loves to be combed! (we call it raked.. hehehe cause the brush looks like a small rake) He comes with his crate and some of the C/D food to get you started... The reason for me having to give him away is I had to move and the new place i'm moving to doesn't allow animals. I've tried to find a family member or friend to take him but no such luck. The only choice I have now is to put him in a shelter but I really don't want that for him. He's a very loyal and affectionate dog and very rarely barks. He sleeps in a kennel that would come with him at night with no problems if you don't want him roming around the house while you are sleeping. <![CDATA[You can see how Snowflake got her name. Pure white with flakes of muted brown spots. She is a looker. Snowflake was found wondering the streets a few days before Christmas and has been in the pound ever since for nearly 2 ½ months. Because she is so social and loves to be near her people, she was declining quickly in the pound due to little stimulation. Immediately upon being put in her foster home she turned the corner and is a happy, friendly, playful, wiggly and gentle dog all wound up in one. She loves her belly and head rubs, knows sit and will drop a toy to play fetch. She loves playing with other dogs, was appropriate when meeting a baby in a stroller on a recent walk, enjoys her quiet time and Loves people(and they gravitate to her as well). She enjoys car rides and lets you run errands while she patiently waits for you in the car. As much as any young dog enjoys their play time and walks, she is also happy just hanging out in the house, resting on her own dog bed or chewing on a chew toy. Oh and speaking of walks, she walks nicely on leash and will likely be a dog that can be off leash in off leash parks and woods. She wants to be near you and will look to her guardian for leadership and guidance. She was a hit at her recent vet appointment and as she does get a lot of attention due to her good looks people are even more impressed to see that there is gentleness and good manners behind those pretty hazel eyes and beautiful white fur. We are not sure what her mix is-could possibly be American Bulldog, Great Dane, Staffordshire Terrier. Her body is lanky and her head shape much like a Great Dane. Whatever it is, she is beautiful with those hazel eyes that stare lovingly at you. She is around 1 year old and weights 50 pounds but could stand to gain a few more pounds. We are still getting to know her as she is new to foster, but all indications point to a dog that will be a great addition to a family who enjoys giving and receiving unconditional love to a little Snowflake looking for the same. <![CDATA[Hi, Due to husband's allergies, need to find a loving family for Bear, a 3 1/2 year old male cat. We've had him since he was a few months old. About Bear: He's a really sweet, funny mix of playful but shy. With you, he'll be playful, follow you around the house, sit where he can keep an eye on you, and come over to be petted or scratched while you're sitting. He's not a lap cat or in your face, he's more independent with a loving side. He LOVES to play- with other cats (who would need to love to wrestle), with toys, ribbons, anything... he'll even play fetch with you. (not that he understands "fetch" but if you throw something he'll pick it up and bring it back to your feet; it's hysterical.) The shy side comes out when strangers come to the house. Since he was found abandoned for the first few days of his life, he's wary around new people at first. If you have guests over, he'll hide under covers or in a corner for a few hours, and only come out later. (He's been getting much better about this recently, however- over the past few weeks he's hung out on the couch with a few different guests.) We'll provide some food to get him started. We just took him to the vet recently, he's had all his shots, he's an indoor only cat with his claws intact, and he can either free-feed or have wet or dry food, he's not particular. We're asking a nominal $25 to help offset the vet bill a little. ]]>

In August, we found this beautiful little kitty homeless, trying to survive on the fast-food garbage people threw out of their cars in a supermarket parking lot. We figured out that Heidi was nursing, and so we tracked her back to the spot where she had stashed her tiny kittens under the shelter of a boulder and some big weeds. It was just after a big rainstorm, and the poor little Lottie and Lally were only 2 or 3 days old. We could tell they were having a hard time. So we quickly scooped up mama and babies and brought them inside and got them settled in a warm nesting box. <img src="http://home.comcast.net/~milochaser/cats/lottie301.jpg"> <img src="http://home.comcast.net/~milochaser/cats/lally302.jpg"> Mama cat Heidi was a little nervous at first, but once she realized she was going to be fed and cared for she relaxed. <![CDATA[Hi, I have worked as a certified vet tech for over 10 years, and can guarantee a forever loving home for your 4-legged friend. I am looking for a medium to large size dog, would prefer a working dog mix such as border collie or aussie shepherd, but will consider lab mixes, beagles, golden retrievers, labs, and just about anything else- I believe the dog's individual personality and a match between him (or her) and me is more important. I don't have issues with young dogs, but as I would like to have the dog trained to be a service animal, it would be great if the dog were at least two. Please let me know about any vices your dog has (chewing, barking, anything at all) as these won't be a deterent, but rather would help me provide the best care possible. Please also let me know if the dog is housebroken, how the dog is with walking on a leash, and any previous training history (non professional okay- if you taught the dog to "come", "sit", etc then that's fine! And if it knows nothing, that's fine- just tell me ahead of time!). The dog would be with me most of the time, maybe be home by itself for up to a couple hours a day, if that. When home, I have an enclosed backyard that the dog would have access to go in and out of as he/she pleased. There are no other animals in my home (yet anyway ;)) but I do go riding at a horse stable, and the dog would of course be able to come along where he/she could have acres and acres to run around on if that suited the dog's likes, and the dog wasn't spooked by the horses... there are other dogs that the owner of the stable said she could bring if the dog wanted a playmate as well... if not, that is fine. When I say "service dog", it would be a dog to help with basic tasks (fetching some things like medications that I couldn't fetch on my own, etc) and I can describe in more detail to you what exactly the dog would be doing if you like. Of course, I believe dogs need a chance to be dogs, so I would definitely not work the dog ALL the time! I would want it to have a chance to be a dog, and run, play, etc. I LOVE LOVE LOVE to run every morning, so if you have a dog that loves to run, that is even better! What I would ask of you, is that you either give me the name of your vet and if that vet is close enough, I would take the dog to continue to see his/her regular vet if you were okay with that. If you weren't, or the vet wasn't nearby, I would ask if you would be okay with your vet faxing records over to my vet's office (I would of course provide you with all of this, and references), just so that my vet may have a more accurate idea of the dog's health, and we could provide the best care for the animal- having been a certified tech for so long, I know how important it is to continue quality, routine healthcare for people and pets alike! Also, if there's anything else you think I should know, tell me... if there's special diets, tastes, likes/dislikes, etc... I tend to do "clicker training" instead of treat training, but do believe in giving good healthy treats... Let me know if I need to be feeding a hypoallergenic diet, I can certainly do that... I typically feed Royal Canine, but if your dog has a different preference in brand (i.e. Hill's Science Diet, or whatever) or any dietary needs (hypoallergenic, low calorie, or anything else) then let me know, I have no problem with getting the best quality diet for the animal. When you reply, if you could also send pictures of your dog, and as much information as you can about him/her as well as where you are located, that would be great! I am in the J.P. area of Boston, really close to the Longwood medical area. I live near lots of parks and on a nice quiet street. If it seems like a good match, I would love to meet on neutral territory, such as in a park or something, to meet with the dog- I think it is important all THREE of us (yes, that includes the animal!) feels comfortable with this adoption (I saw neutral territory like that, because in my experience the dog will feel more relaxed). I have no problem paying an adoption fee, just please let me know what it is, and also if your dog's supplies will be coming with him/her or if there are items that would not be coming with, that I would need to get ahead of time. If you know if your dog is UTD on vaccines, that would be helpful information to know, but if he/she is not, that is fine since I would be taking the dog to meet my vet and get a checkup, update vaccines if needed, etc anyway (even if in perfect health- I like to take my animals to see their vet for the first time when they are feeling good if possible, it just seems to help things go more smoothly). I would want to meet at least once, perhaps a couple more times, to ensure that this is a good fit. Basically, just give me as much information about your dog as possible, or as much as you are comfortable with, and just be honest! Also know I understand that animals will often develop vices when placed in a new home/environment and so I'm not expecting a perfect dog! I'm just expecting a canine companion that can help me out, that I can help out, and that I can provide a loving home for. If it sounds like your dog could be a good fit, I will write you back and we can set up a time to meet, and I can give you more information about me, my home, past animals I have owned/trained, my vet's information, some references that you can check up on, and if there is anything else you'd like I can likely provide that too... I am also very open to different terms of the adoption (i.e. meeting after a month, 3 months, whatever, surprise visits, etc so you can see how your dog is doing and giving you the right to reclaim the dog if you feel he or she is being mistreated in ANY way). Also, I rarely take vacations (rarely= never actually) but should something come up, the dog would either come with me, or stay with a friend or at a boarding facility (or, if you'd want to dog-sit, that could be discussed), but I do have a plan for emergencies, if I were to need to travel, and all of that, which I will also supply to you, just so that you feel safe and comfortable as well- I recently moved from California and had to sell both my horses a while before moving (I wouldn't have been able to give them the care they needed otherwise) so I can relate to how difficult it is to give up an animal- they become like part of your family, and I of all people completely understand the difficult decision!]]>
