I have a van that I am driving to work and back every day, but since I'm the only one riding in it, it seems a bit inefficient. I have about 5 extra spots for passengers to ride in. So I know the commuter rail out western MA sucks; you have to take the MWRTA and then take the shuttle back on the shuttle's schedule. Not your own. I'm commuting in from Boston relatively early, but not so early that it would screw up your sleep schedule. If we can work something out in terms of a definite time, I think commuting in in the car would save us both time and a lot of $$. I would charge a minimal fee for my services, but it would be a lot less than the combined cost of the commuter rail and the MWRTA. We can negotiate this a bit if you're just starting out. Since this is kinda last minute, I can either go this Friday, Sept 3rd or this Saturday Sept 4th. The drive is approx. 6 hours, possibly less or more depending on the drive & traffic. My dog shall be coming with but don't worry she is a very calm, sweet and beautiful Siberian Husky, female, and is about 5 years old. I also have about 3 med. size boxes & 3 large boxes to bring with me since my apartment is atrociously small and cannot hold all of my belongings, so room in a car/vehicle is kind of a must. An SUV or something comparable would be perfect, but even possibly a hatchback may work, am not sure. I can tell you the measurements of the boxes so we won't have a problem once you arrive at my place :) About me, I'm a grad student here & need to go back home since the brother just had a baby & the family would like me to be there for some odd reason. ;) I am very easy to get along with and talk to, am not a weirdo besides the fact that I do like video games and am a bit of a nerd in my own right. On the other hand I have bartended for so long that my social skills are seemingly up to par, I think :) As for getting home I am planning to take a train ride back to Boston, so just the ride to Rochester is needed.
