<![CDATA[I bought this Cannondale R500 a few years ago with the intention of joining some friends on their weekly Saturday morning ride. Never happened. What did happen is that I purchased the bike used and had it completely reconditioned at Richardson Bike Mart. New Tires, new seat (Serfas reactive gel), new brakes and whatever else is typically done to make sure the bike is tuned up and in good condition. The frame is CAAD 2 Cannondale Advanced Aluminum Design frame. The deraillieur is a Shimano RSX. The rims are Mavic XP21. Not sure of the exact weight but I can lift up the entire bike with one finger (It is very light.). The frame is 58 cm ---- I am 5' 11" and it fits fine. Also included is a pair of Cannondale size 12 bike shoes. The color is dark purple - looks great! I recall that I spent about $500 - $600 for everything originally (all equipment, tune up, etc.). Originally it had a basket and a nicer bottom bracket but I took the basket off and swapped the bottom bracket to lower the sale price. The bike is in near flawless condition, practically showroom quality and professionally built. This bike is geared fairly easily (39-16) for leisure rides and to haul loads. The bike has mostly lightly used parts with a few new. It is modeled after early 1900's era Gentlemen's Bike (English) but with more modern and more streamlined components. Fixed gear or single speeds are great for reducing maintenance. Specs: 64cm frame. CroMo Few minor scratches. Great for guys 6'1- 6'4 (the lower you keep the seat the more it looks like a 1900's era ride) Weinmann / Formula Deep V machined wheelset with 16 tooth fixed gear cog and a 16 tooth single speed cog.
