In 2009 the US banned importation of this species into the country from Asia due to their declining numbers in the wild. They are listed as Critically Threatened in the wild. However, the person who was going to come get this little boy never showed, never called, won't return or answer calls, and won't respond to e-mail. SO... we still have this baby and he really needs a new home. Our 19-year-old daughter recently lost her fight with cancer. We have been caring for her cats since we lost her. Her cat Skyy was pregnant, and we ended up with kittens. The momma cats is, we have been told, mostly Maine Coon. She was devastated when her person never came back home and was very attached to the babies, so she took longer than normal to wean them but it FINALLY happened. The little one who is still here is cute, bouncy, playful, affectionate and looking for an EXCELLENT home. He has been cared for lovingly, hugged and kissed and snuggled. He loves to sleep with my husband and I. He is as well-behaved as you can expect a kitten to be - knows what a litter box is, understands "no" most of the time, he will sit in your lap and be a purrrr-fect, soft little furball... until something neat catches his eye! He's about 11 weeks old., is used to large dogs and is what we call a "throw pillow. He's pretty special. The love we have for our little girl extended to the kittens, and he returns that devotion and affection. My daughter had planned to get her cats "fixed" but was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and passed before she got the chance to do so.
