For the past 9 months My wife and I have been planning to build a wildlife refuge in the DFW area to house rescued big cats (Tigers, Lions, Panthers, etc). We are still in the process of getting our non-profit license but is taking longer than expected. Our facility will be able to take up to 30+ rescued Cats from Facilities around the nation that are overloaded and/or neglecting their Cats. We will be helping our cats become healthier again so that they may return back into the wild. Some of the female Cats will be part of our surrogate program to increase the endangered species population. Some cubs will also be hand raised by myself and certified staff so that the cubs will grow up not fearing or attacking humans. When visitors come to our facility our Cats will be able to walk around with the population so that children and parents may learn more about Tigers and Lions and learn our we can grow their population and protect them in the future. We will also have programs for children of all ages, along with special programs for Autistic children and Behavioral children. This is just a tenth of what our facility will be doing once fully operational. It will be a place where we can change history with the Big Cat families and it can be a place where the community can have fun and have hands on learning.
